Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actor. She also sings. When she was a kid, Sara was racially taunted by American citizens of all races. Her confidence began to grow in the ninth grade after she took part in a school audition. She was praised by the judges for her vocal ability. The experience not only increased her confidence, but it was also a change in the direction in which she went on to pursue her professional career. She attended New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In 1993 she had her Broadway debut with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Her first film was You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with her performance as The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the original Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great praise for the performance. The following year, she was cast in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider appreciation for her performance. She is known as a performer and has also released a single as well as an extended show. Also, she's been a vocal advocate for LGBT concerns.
